.
Yesterday Brooks brought me an older clump of Narcissus tazetta from his yard in Natchez, which I will plant (hopefully this evening) near 3 clumps of Pearl and Grand Primo. Brilliant.
His tazettas...
My Grand Primo..
.
This morning when I took Gray on her daily walk through the yard I took note of what was blooming, what was about to bloom...
Azalea, more Camellias...
The first Daffodil of the year...
Trillium
Ranunculus about to bloom...
Walking Iris, just starting to show signs of emerging buds..
.
So much work, a busy week ahead.

Seeing your pictures of your garden makes me remember the arboretum near where I lived in Illinois. I would go there in the spring to lay on the ground in daffodil glade to read, I would take walks through the woods to find bright white and dark purple trilliums... and so many other beautiful flowers. The time spent out there (I was there every day) was such a central part to my sanity and now that I am living in Mexico City, I dream with one day getting to have my own garden with all of my favorite flowers. And I LOVE your camelia! I had never seen one with little stripes like that, it's so pretty. Keep up the undoubtedly hard work!
How did you get kitty to walk with a leash? I do not think I could even get mine in the leash, let alone walk her!
MARIANA-the arboretum sounds so lovely...
And I hope you get to have your own garden very very soon. And that is definitely my favorite Camellia in the yard.:)
ANONYMOUS-I started Gray on the harness/leash when she was a kitten...and now, she just loves it. If she sees me pick it up she jumps up on the counter and stands extra still while I put it on her. And lately if I am near the counter where I keep the leash, she will jump up and push it towards me or push it off the counter and meow till I take her out! :)
