Louisiana Plants and Flowers

Its been a busy past few weeks and I haven't had much time to enjoy the weather before the terrible southern heat kicks in full time.

I was kind of bummed that I wasn't able to spend any time outside trying to get my yard to look nice and cozy and not so neglected. So, I decided the other day to take an extra long walk to the convenience store, so I could at least enjoy the gardens and the still cool morning climate for a bit. I took the camera along..

A couple of neighborhood house gardens/lawns that I am in love with:

.

It just gets me motivated to finish more work outside while it's not too hot.

The archaeological dig to excavate that LOST BIRD BATH is starting to look like some decent effort went into it.

There is still a ton of overgrowth to the left that needs to pruning and then I can work the soil, fertilize, top soil it etc.

Hopefully this weekend that can get done. Then, its the fun part..deciding what to put in and what to border the area with:

.

I also did some research and identified some of the plants in my yard.
Day Lily, Mimosa, Honeysuckle, Magnolia, Lantana, Walking Iris, Azalea, Paper Mulberry:

so pretty.....

..

goodnight~
