Gingers....

.

Yesterday morning.
My view from the kitchen window..
(Sufi playing lookout on the garage roof).

.

Yesterday and today....Gray inside.
She looks just like a miniature version of Farrah lately.

.

Last week the first of the white Garland Gingers (Hedychium coronarium)bloomed. These are from the Gingers I cut and divided throughout the yard (from the originals that were here when I moved in, that never bloomed).
They are so fragrant I can smell them from the porch, which is 20+ feet away.
And I like the fragrance almost as much as Tuberose...

.

Gingers from another yard down the street...

How is Dorian's big foot? Did it go down? And how are your war wounds?

PENCILS-

Thanks for asking. :)

Dorian's foot was back to normal by noon the next day (so, I do think it was a bee sting)...he loves swatting at bees in the butterfly garden.

My wounds are so much better today, except for one, which is badly bruised and looks kind of icky...but they are all much much better indeed. I just look like I was attacked with a letter opener or something bizarre like that.

Hope all is well in your neck of the woods! :)

Oh good, I'm glad he's OK (and that' you're better too.) My sister had a beagle who used to snap at bees occasionally, for fun. Except she got one once, and it stung her in the mouth. Her entire muzzle swelled up and they had to race her to the emergency vet before she suffocated. But she was fine after that (well, as fine as an old, fat dog with Cushing's Disease could be.) However, she still kept snapping at bees, just never got one again.

And things are good here, thanks for asking! I got the Ford Times and I love it. My sister gave me two signed Harper cardinal prints for the baby's nursery. I hate to think what they cost, but they're lovely. One is called "Cardinal Cuisine," and I'm not sure of the name of the other, I need to find it. I'm 34 weeks now, and definitely ready for the big show.
