Back From Business + Brimfield

.

I just got back last night from a day-lab business trip and the annual Brimfield Antique and Flea Market Show. There were 5,000 vendors and it was overwhelming, all the things to see. I am so glad I was able to experience Brimfield, even in my highlighter yellow Pancho through the rain and the cold (well, cold to me at least).

I didn't take one picture unfortunately, but Sarah got plenty of great shots...

Ooh, I'm jealous, I love Brimfield. And haven't gone in a few years as last year it was right before my wedding, and this year it was the only weekend we could get away for our babymoon (we went to Jamaica.) Also I wasn't sure I could handle Brimfield while pregnant, it's tiring! Did you go to the textile show the day before in Sturbridge? It's amazing, they have wonderful stuff. Way out of my price range, mostly, but I'm just along for the ride and for gawking value. I got a couple of neat things last time at Brimfield, including a deco wire plant stand that I just love.

Did you get anything for you, not for stock? Anything fun?

PENCILS-

I didn't go to the textile show but i did read a bit about it on the site a couple weeks ago (and it did look really really interesting..would have loved to have been able to go to that too).

And no, I didn't buy a thing for day-lab or myself (I had hit my financial limit on day-lab stock the two days prior to Brimfield). BUT, nonetheless, it was soooooo neat to just walk through all the tents and see all the neat stuff! Definitely worth it. :)

P.S. Hope the pregnancy has been free of trouble for you, and that you are past any morning sickness stages etc. :D

Too bad you were out of funds--I never have enough to buy what I want at Brimfield, and it's probably a good thing, too.

And thanks--I'm past the morning sickness, which was pretty awful and definitely not confined to the morning. But now things are good, we passed the amnio with flying colors and she's kicking up a storm. It's a girl! Now we're planning the nursery. I'm thinking yellow walls with orange and pink fabrics and Charlie Harper bird prints or posters.
