Bocage Plantation Auction

So, if you are in the New Orleans/Baton Rouge area:

International Collection From Historic Bocage Plantation
To be Auctioned On-Premises Saturday, December 8

Collection Preview: Dec. 4 - Dec. 7
Benefits The Louisiana Trust for Historic Preservation

From www.nolafunguide.com:

The entire contents of historic Bocage Plantation on River Road, property from the Estates of Richard and Marguerite Crozat Genre, and selected property of a gentleman antiquarian will be auctioned on-premises Saturday, December 8th. The international collection comprises more than 400 lots featuring antique furniture, art, books and more.

This home has been privately owned since it was built in 1801, and has never been open to the public. It was built by the same man who built one of my favorite plantation homes, Ashland Belle Helene.

I probably won't make it to the auction, but I am definitely trying to make it to the collection preview one day this week.

Bocage Plantation is located on River Road, Darrow, LA (Via I-10 - Exit #182)
